And now, let the creative work start! Mafàna BE. . . . ! (Very hot in Malagasy)
Following an initial surface cleaning of the block, there are some visual elements open to me.
In stages, either I eliminate geodes, cracks or inclusions that I find good to disappear or retain them to give the stone that contrast so desired of the crude and polished mixture.
Some rocks may reveal breaks that are not really, then we say they are twinned, this is due to the geological formation process of the mineral and the presence of various oxides.
My work is then directed primarily towards a pure creation, leaving me guided by the natural shape of the workpiece as well as its crystal variant.
It is very difficult to me to finish a creative work oriented when baffled by an imperfection which I am uneasy about and that I decide to take off then. That’s why I prefer to work by fractions and find out as these interventions are performed, what I can get better.
My sculptures are signed, unique and accompanied by a certificate of authenticity.
