Paul Valentin was born in 1972 in BAGNERES DE BIGORRE "France".
His time is divided between the bush of The Red Island in search of the most beautiful blocks, and the capital Antananarivo where the workshop is located.
Very familiar with the mineral world, he focuses his work on these noble favorite rocks such as agate, jasper, labradorite and quartz.
As one of the rarest sculptors able to tame such hard materials, far from the Pyrenees this passionate draws his inspiration from the natural environment that surrounds him and the various encounters during these expeditions.
The introduction of the stone to his work matches the perception that man needs purity and serenity with the stress he faces every day. Beauty, originality of colors, humility and imperfection offered by this material to us as rudeness or conversely, softness to his touch are an energy source that this self-taught artist preserves respecting what nature offers.
Stone fragile power, its mystery, lead him to release its disturbing beauty in an unusual continuous creativity through his unique artworks.
